During September congress of International Federation of Anatomical Associations held in Gwangju (Korea) prof. Jerzy Walocha was elected for the position of secretary. Prof. Walocha currently acts as a head of Anatomy Department of Jagiellonian University (Kraków, Poland) and is the vice-president of Polish Anatomical Society. In 2021 he has been elected for the position of secretary of EFEM. In 2020 he has ben nominated for position of editor-in-chief of „Translational Research in Anatomy” journal. He authored and co-authored over 500 original articles, reports, review articles, books, chapters. His areas of interest are : cardiovascular anatomy, peripheral nervous system anatomy, surgical anatomy and technique, arteriogenesis, angiogenesis, gynaecology, medical education, history of medicine, teaching, learning & assessment, medical education.
