Prof. Friedrich Paulsen awarded

EFEM Past-president Professor Dr. Friedrich Paulsen receives the prestigious Anton Waldeyer Prize of the Anatomische Gesellschaft. Dr. Paulsen is a specialist in gross anatomy. His research interest lies in the lacrimal apparatus, the morphology of the eye, and head & neck anatomy. He is chairman of the Institute of Anatomy in Erlangen and Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Anatomy. For medical students is well known the contributions of Dr. Paulsen are because of the role he plays as editor of Sobotta´s atlas and textbook for human anatomy learning.

The Anton Waldeyer Prize of the German Society of Anatomy (Anatomische Gessellschaft) that honors outstanding scientific achievments in relation to anatomy knowledge and its application in the clinnical practise. The prize is named after Dr. Anton Johannes Waldeyer, a relevant German anatomist during 20th century.
