Istanbul 2-6 September 2015
During the meeting of the International Committee of Symposia on Morphological Sciences (ICSMS), held during the XXIV ISMS - Istanbul, Turkey, on September 3rd 2015, the EFEM Secretary-General,Prof. Gordana Teofilovski-Parapid, was appointed Honorary President of the ICSMS as a recognition for her lifetime contibution to the Committee and to the Morphological Sciences. At the same meeting the EFEM President, Prof. Diogo Pais was elected Secretary-General of ICSMS for 2016-2021 and awarded an Anatomist Excellence Award as a recognition for his outstanding contribution to the Morphological Sciences, both National and Internationally, especially in the past 10 years.
Professor Guido Macchiarelli (L'Aquila, Italy), member of the Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology and former Secretary-General of ICSMS, was elected President of the Committee for the term of 2016-2021.
The special EFEM Council meeting, which was held during the XXIV ISMS, on September 3rd, 2015, elected Professor José Luís Bueno Lopez (Bilbao, Spain) as President-Elect and Professor Erdogan Sendemir (Bursa, Turkey) as Secretary of the European Federation for Experimental Morphology (EFEM). Prof. José Luís Bueno Lopez will assume the Presidency of EFEM during its next Council and Board Meeting, to be held in Paris, March 5th, 2016.
