We would like to announce changes in the EFEM Social Media Committee at the beginning of the present academic year. After several years in front, our committee leader decided to step back. Ourania Varsou has done great in her executive role and we will miss her. We hope she will succeed in her new appointments.
Ignacio Hernandez-Morato is replacing the role as Social Media Committee and Website Curator. Dr. Hernández-Morato is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at the School of Medicine, Complutense University of Madrid. His scientific interests lie in basic neuroscience and anatomy research. The primary research is focused on the regeneration of the peripheral nervous system, with additional interests in developing the nervous system and laryngeal proprioception. Ignacio Hernandez-Morato's outreach is oriented toward applying podcasts and social media to spread the word about the importance of science in our daily lives.
